Publications
The IIGCC produces regular publications:
- Policy statements and insights are aimed at providing the investor view on policy frameworks and policies that will facilitate the move to a low carbon economy and are consistent with long-term investment objectives.
- Investor guides are aimed at creating greater understanding of the risks and opportunities posed by climate change and climate policy for different asset classes, including public equities, private equity and property. They provide guidance on how these factors might be considered by pension funds when selecting or evaluating their investment managers and by investment managers in their investment selection or practices or in reporting to their clients.
- The Investor Expectations of Corporate Climate Risk Management indicate the key climate change-related practices that investors expect companies to undertake based on an understanding of best practice management of climate change as well as outlining the actions that investors are prepared to undertake on this topic. Corporate disclosure frameworks provide sector-specific reporting guidelines for companies which will make it easier for investors to assess and compare the risks and opportunities posed by climate change and climate policy to individual companies. They provide a unique format for presenting quantitative and qualitative issues in a coherent and consistent way and are integrated into the Carbon Disclosure Project’s questionnaires.
